Well look at Rovio, all high and mighty on its Angry Birds pedastal. Perhaps someone needs to bring them down a notch. You probably know where this joke is going.

The developer has recently made some rather controversial claims though, such as team head Peter Vesterbacka’s statement made during a South by Southwest Interactive conference panel in Austin. He said that, in his opinion, console games were “dying” as innovation moves to mobile gaming, where development is easier, cheaper, and quicker.

However he did admit that when it comes to a business model for this new type of gaming, "No one has figured it out yet."

Given the mega-success that is Angry Birds, you can fully expect Rovio to continue to push the trend in mobile gaming, which Vesterbacka has promised to do.
