There are plenty of games that offer compelling potential for a movie adaption. id Software’s Doom is probably not one of them, as the 2005 movie proved. The thrill-free action flick left a bad taste in many mouths, so we weren’t counting for a new movie any time soon. But there may yet be.

Universal is apparently interested in bringing out a new film that ignores the plot of the original, and leaps out at you in 3D. Great news for people that like terrible films, I guess.

Okay, maybe this one won’t be terrible… if they don’t base it on Doom.
