2K has announced that BioShock 2's Protector Trials DLC for PC will be available for free starting today, following a premature false start. It'll also include a small patch to fix some "mouse sensitivity issues," along with a few other tune ups listed below.
Protector Trials is a single-player add-on in which players assume the role of an Alpha Series Big Daddy and defend Little Sisters from swarms of enemies. It's just an appetizer to the eventual main course of Minerva's Den. 2K states it's "still working on" PC DLC for Minerva's Den and will be making an announcement "as we get closer to a firm launch date for that pack."
Patch Notes include:
- Fixed unlocalized text in Customize Controls screen.
- Player mouse functionality no longer drops out when the Video Card Driver Warning appears.
- User.ini no longer overwritten when game loads. This should address mouse sensitivity issues as well as many v-sync option bugs.
