Sony on augmented reality, from PS2 to NGP

In a very interesting documentary posted on the PlayStation.Blog, Sony – and more specifically, senior researcher and pioneer in the field of augmented reality tech Richard Marks – talks about when it all began, or rather, when Sony and AR looked to change the name of the game. While the history of the company and their use of AR technology since the early days of the EyeToy is interesting, the future is even more so considering what new experiences the NGP could potentially deliver.
