So, what will this mean for Zynga. Well, there will probably be more Megamind-esque promotions in games . Many more of those. However, it's doubtful that Katzenberg would join the board if something wasn't in it for him, like licensing deals that could make DreamWorks lots of money.I see a lot of similarities between DreamWorks Animation and Zynga, far beyond our love of animals. DreamWorks Animation is a revolutionary technology company, a recognized consumer brand, and at its core, a media company. It's easy to see the value that Jeffrey will add to Zynga as we grow and look for more ways to delight our players."
With a partnership like this, Zynga could very well create its own companion games for upcoming DreamWorks releases. However, this is purely guesswork--what happens between these six men behind closed doors is something we'll never know. Though, it's always fun to guess the results like who is the father on any given episode of Maury Povich.
