Disney have made a big step in their recent move towards becoming a digital-focused firm.

The company has acquired Rocket Pack, a Finnish team responsible for the HTML5-based Rocket Engine. They also built a ‘Google docs for games’ engine that allows for easy development of web and smartphone games, which they used to develop Warimals. Disney spent a grand total of $20 million acquiring the start-up company.

It’s still early days for the company’s new direction; when will we see the first fruits of their labor?
