BLU may be a comparatively small operation, but it brought out a lot more phones than most of the big players. They range from supremely thin to super-juiced, but none of them go north of the $200 mark when grab them off contract...
Popular Android news site Phandroid is reporting that HTC are on the verge of implementing YouTube Live Video streaming via the HTC Re as soon as tomorrow potentially with an update to the HTC RE app.
With the Re app, sign in to your YouTube channel and activate live streaming. Once verified, broadcasting from your RE is a snap. Any live footage you wish to share is transmitted directly from RE to your smartphone, which then sends your broadcast to your YouTube channel
This news should be music to the ears of those that love to broadcast live video or events and with the HTC Re’s main competitor being GoPro this will be a welcomed feature. We have our HTC Re for the last few days and will have our review of the periscope shaped device soon.

Following the official launch in India of the Galaxy A3 and A5 two days ago, it appears the European market will not be left out. Firmware versions have been made available by Samsung for both smartphones for an extensive list of countries, indicating that initial production issues have been resolved and a European launch is imminent. Specs of the devices shouldn't be different from the rest of world, meaning the Galaxy A3 gets you a 4.5-inch qHD Super AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 410 with a CPU ticking at 1.2GHz, 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage with the option of microSD expansion, and a non-removable 1900mAh battery. The Galaxy A5 ups the RAM to 2GB and the battery to 2300mAh, while packing a 5-inch screen of 720p resolution. A better 13MP main camera also comes in the Galaxy A5 over the A3's 8MP shooter. The two phones follow the design language of the Galaxy Alpha, offering the premium feel of an aluminum frame in a more reasonably-priced package. A month is a long time, but earlier reports could give you an idea of the pricing ballpark. Source ...
Thanks to the internet, teachers worldwide can now scan social media for students complaining about homework assignments or how they teach the class. Unfortunately (or fortunately), for this student, his Tweet about Mr. Huffman was spotted by none other than the teacher himself, and what happened next definitely got more Retweets than the original complaint. Continue reading to see more geeky teachers who have clever solutions to everyday problems at school.

Is your child Minecraft crazy, I know mine are and pretty much everyone I know has a Minecraft addicted child too. The EUMETSAT (European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites) of which Met Éireann is a member of is holding a Minecraft competition for kids aged 6 to 16. The competition is to build inside the Minecraft world one of the EUMETSAT’s satellites or even one of your child’s own designs.
In both categories, submissions will be judged on the following criteria:
How well you have interpreted our satellite's design or how original your own design is
From your attention to detail to the overall impact of your creation on the judges
Time spent presenting your submission, how good your screen shots and description are.
Full instructions can be found here and the prizes are pretty good too including a 1st prize of a Lego MindStorm EV 3 Kit, the competition is open until 30th April so lots of time to get building and get your entry in.

Samsung has announced its earnings guidance for the fourth quarter of 2014, revealing an operating profit of 5.2 trillion won ($4.7 billion), down approximately 37% from the year ago quarter, but still better than the 4.06 trillion-won figure it reported in Q3 2014, as well as analysts' expectations of 4.9 trillion won. While the South Korean company's smartphone business continued to struggle, analysts said that increase in profit compared to Q3 2014 is largely due to improvements in its semiconductor division. Samsung expects sales to be around 52 trillion won in the quarter, down 12.3% year-on-year. The company will release complete financial results later this month. Source |...
